BUILD & CUSTOMIZATION
Q: Are Lewis Guitars handmade?
A: Yes — each guitar is handcrafted in our shop in Cantley, Quebec. We use CNC machines for initial rough cuts to ensure precision and consistency, but all finishing, fretwork, sanding, assembly, and setup are done by hand.
Q: What’s your neck profile like?
A: Our standard necks are medium/chunky C
Q: Do you offer left-handed models?
A: Yes, we do. There may be a slightly longer lead time — feel free to message us for availability.
ORDERS & LEAD TIME
Q: How long does it take to receive my guitar?
A: Build time for custom orders is typically 32-48 weeks. In-stock models ship within 1–3 business days.
Q: Can I track my build?
A: Yes! We’ll send periodic updates during your build process — and you’re welcome to reach out anytime for a status check.
Q: What’s the difference between in-stock and custom models?
A: In-stock guitars are fully finished and ready to ship. Custom models are built to your specifications and may include options not available in prebuilt models.
Deposits on Current Stock Items
Q: How much is the deposit?
A: The minimum deposit is 25% of the total price.
Q: How long do you hold the item?
A: We typically hold it for up to 30 days, or until the balance is fully paid.
Q: What happens if I don’t pay the balance within 30 days?
A: If the balance is not paid within 30 days, the guitar will be returned to stock, and a 10% restocking fee (based on the guitar’s total price) will be deducted from your deposit. The remaining deposit will be refunded.
SOUND & COMPONENTS
Q: What pickups do you use?
A: Most models feature our hand-wound P90s or custom-spec pickups built to our tone standards. Specs are listed on each product page.
Q: Do your guitars come set up?
A: Yes — every guitar is set up, intonated, and ready to play out of the case. We also include a setup sheet with recommended tweaks based on your tuning and style.
Q: Can I choose my own electronics or hardware?
A: Drop us a message before ordering and we’ll work it out with you.
SHIPPING & WARRANTY
Q: Do you ship internationally?
A: Yes, we ship worldwide. Rates are calculated at checkout. If you don’t see your country listed, just email us.
Q: What’s your return policy?
A: We accept returns on in-stock guitars within 7 days of delivery, in original condition. Custom builds are final sale unless there’s a defect or error on our part.
Q: Do Lewis Guitars come with a warranty?
A: Yes — all our guitars are covered by a lifetime warranty against workmanship defects for the original owner. Electronics and hardware are covered for 5 year. Shipping is at the buyer’s expense.
