Inside the Lewis Guitars workshop in Québec

Why Lewis Exists

Guitars should feel personal before they ever become yours.

Lewis Guitars was built around a simple idea: a new instrument should not feel anonymous, overbuilt, or unfinished in your hands. It should feel familiar from the first chord—balanced, responsive, and ready to become part of your life.

Every guitar is built, finished, assembled, wired, and set up in Québec. The pickups are wound in-house, the nitro finishes are aged by hand, and every detail is judged by how the finished instrument feels to play.

Designed with Intention

Nothing here is accidental.

Every curve, engraving, and control placement exists because it makes the guitar more comfortable, intuitive, or personal to play.

Recessed output jack detail on a Lewis guitar

Recessed Jack Notch

Cable out of the way.

A recessed jack keeps the cable tucked closer to the body, reducing strain and making the guitar more comfortable whether you play standing or seated.

Engraved serial number on the neck heel of a Lewis guitar

Engraved Serial

Every guitar has its identity.

Each neck heel is engraved with its own serial number, giving every instrument an individual identity without hiding its story.

Signature Lewis guitar control layout

Signature Control Layout

Controls where your hands expect them.

The control layout is designed around feel and muscle memory, keeping everything intuitive, accessible, and out of the way while you play.

What Makes a Lewis

Feel. Voice. Character.

Every choice serves the experience of playing the finished guitar.

01

Feels effortless

Lightweight bodies, balanced proportions, carefully shaped necks, and a detailed final setup make every Lewis feel natural from the first chord.

02

Voiced for its purpose

Every pickup is wound in-house and voiced specifically for the model it belongs to, creating the right balance of clarity, response, and character.

03

Ages with you

Thin nitrocellulose finishes are aged by hand to feel familiar now, then continue to wear, check, and develop through years of playing.

Made to Be Played

Some guitars get collected. Ours get played.

Lewis guitars are built for rehearsals, studios, loud stages, long sessions, and the moments when an instrument becomes part of how you write, perform, and sound.

What Players Say

Played, trusted, and taken on the road.

This is hands down the most comfortable neck I’ve ever played. The finish feels authentically broken in, like it’s been played for years.

Ivo Matic Toronto, Ontario • Adélie

The attention to detail is insane. The serial number engraved at the heel of the neck and the knobs make it feel truly custom.

Seth Hatch Springville, Utah • Minnow

Every time I pick it up, the balance feels just right, and I’m instantly inspired to play. The pickups are clear, articulate, and full of character.

Luigi Rosso San Francisco, California • Revealer
