Description
Handcrafted in Québec
Short scale. Immediate feel.
Every Lewis guitar begins with carefully selected materials, thoughtful design,
and the time required to build it properly.
The Minnow in Portage Frost is finished in lightly aged
nitrocellulose lacquer. The relic work is restrained and intentional, giving the
instrument a familiar character without overpowering the finish.
Built one at a time in our Québec workshop, every Minnow is
shaped, finished, assembled, wired, aged, and professionally set up by hand.
You are viewing the exact instrument available for reservation.
The Minnow Platform
Compact proportions without a small-guitar feel.
The Minnow combines an alder body, maple neck, and ebony fingerboard
with a 24-inch scale length, 9.5-inch radius,
and Medium C neck profile.
The shorter scale creates slinkier tension, easier bends, and an immediate response,
while the balanced body remains comfortable seated or standing.
Lewis hand-wound pickups are paired with CTS controls and Orange Drop capacitors.
Key hardware, including the Softwater Pontoon bridge, control plate,
and toggle plate, is designed and made in-house.
This instrument also features a broken-in neck feel, giving the neck
a smooth, familiar character from the first note.
